Payroll Supervisor
Salary Range: $70,304 - 80,000/year
If you’re an experienced payroll professional who enjoys leading by example while staying involved in the day-to-day process, CR&R is looking for you. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing for a large multi-state workforce while supervising a small payroll team and driving continuous improvement.

Payroll is one of the most critical functions in our organization. The Payroll Supervisor ensures more than 1,500 employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with complex federal, state, and local regulations. Your leadership will help improve processes, support operational excellence, and provide exceptional service to employees across multiple locations.
 

What You’ll Do
Supervise the daily operations of the payroll department while providing leadership and support to payroll staff
Review and process payroll for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Audit timecards, payroll adjustments, deductions, overtime, garnishments, and tax withholdings
Resolve complex payroll issues while partnering with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations
Lead payroll reconciliations, reporting, audits, and internal control processes
Develop and improve payroll procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy
Train, coach, and develop payroll personnel while maintaining exceptional customer service
 

What We’re Looking For
Five or more years of payroll experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities
Experience processing payroll for a large, multi-location or multi-state employer
Strong understanding of California wage and hour laws and payroll compliance
Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as Paycom
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
CPP certification, Bachelor’s degree, bilingual Spanish, and industrial or transportation industry experience are a plus
