Job description

Experienced Air Vehicle Engineering Integrator
Company:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Air Vehicle Engineering Integrator - Experienced (Level 3) to join the MS&B Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The Air Vehicle (AV) Engineering Integration team's mission is to provide integrated, cost-effective, quality engineering solutions/services, planning and support for aircraft modification and sustainment. A successful member of this team will understand and execute aircraft modifications and upgrades for the Executive Transport, Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS), Bombers and Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) programs.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides the Engineering leadership and Technical Integration to the Air Vehicle Engineering Capabilities team representing multiple skill areas (Airframe, Airplane Systems, Flight Systems, Electrical Design and Integration (EDI) and Manufacturing),
  • Review and Compile Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) with AV impacts prior to Chief Engineering Council (Technical Coordination of AV ECR Packages)
  • Supplier interface / coordination (multi-disciplinary integration, ex: EDI, Structures, Mech Systems, etc.,)
  • Support requirement decomposition and allocation for AV teams, including certification requirements/plans - Certification Plan Work Sheet (CPWS) coordination
  • Flight / Test Mission Assurance Readiness Review (F/TMARR) coordination for Air Vehicle teams
  • Drive integration between Air Vehicle and Supporting Teams
  • Proposal development for Air Vehicle and ensure Basis of Estimates (BOEs) / Estimate at Completion (EAC) technical scope is well integrated
  • Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program
  • Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity
  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.
  • Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor degree
  • 5 years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers is preferred
  • Experience with complex systems development and integration preferred
  • Experience with leading project execution to complete the work statement is preferred
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO)
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering
  • Experience with Agile/JIRA
  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) projects
  • Troubleshooting engineering skills
