Summary:

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role assists employee onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, personnel records, recruitment activities, and general HR compliance. The HR Assistant serves as a resource for employees while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the accuracy of HR documentation and processes.


Rate:ย 

$20-$25 per hour, based on experience.


Schedule:

3 days per week, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. While this position is currently part-time, there may be an opportunity to transition to full-time in the near future. Candidates should be open to this possibility.ย 

Monday-Wednesday (candidate does need to have some flexibility should days need to change)

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Human Resources Administration

  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist with maintaining HR databases and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • ย Ensure employee records are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Assist with posting job openings and coordinating recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
  • ย Prepare onboarding materials and ensure completion of required employment documents.

Benefits and Leave Administration

  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and leave procedures.

Payroll and Timekeeping Support

  • Assist with timecard audits and corrections as needed.

General Administrative Support

  • Order and maintain office supplies and department resources.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain departmental calendars.
  • Daily distribution of mail
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of administrative or human resources experience required.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Paylocity preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-service-oriented approach when interacting with employees and applicants.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based environment.
  • May require occasional travel between company locations.
  • Standard business hours with occasional flexibility to support business needs.
