Position Type: Per Diem (Part-Time/Casual) based on training need; hours are based on area training needs and are not guaranteed.
Schedule: A flexible schedule that may include morning, evening and weekends.
Location: Training sites in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
Compensation: $30/hr.-plus mileage reimbursement (60+
miles, round trip). Reimbursement for tolls and parking will also be provided.

Summary of Position:
The primary responsibility of each Instructor is to conduct in person American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR AED/First Aid trainings. Instructors are expected to ensure that each student has a productive and meaningful
experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct First Aid and CPR training classes for individuals and group
- Follow established AHA lesson plans and instructional materials for courses
- Provide clear and concise explanations of CPR & First Aid techniques and procedures
- Demonstrate proper techniques for administering life saving skills
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage participants and facilitate
learning
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Assess participant performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and practices
- Maintain responsibility for instruction and classroom management
- Track attendance and report each training session to the Regional Coordinator and/or Director in a timely manner
- Maintain reliable access to a computer with reliable internet access; maintain reliable access to a printer
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Adhere to organizational code of conduct and ethics
Qualifications and Experience:
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Valid PA Driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle (Required)
- AHA CPR Instructor Certification (Preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Healthcare Experience (Preferred)
