Part-Time Benefits Consultant โ€“ Temporary

Pay: $45โ€“$75/hr DOE
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours/week; flexible during standard business hours
Location: Hybrid - Manchester NH
Duration: 1+ month, with potential for additional work

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Consultant to support the Chief People Officer as the organization prepares for open enrollment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional with strong benefits expertise who can step in quickly, work independently, and serve as a trusted partner on benefits-related initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Support the CPO with open enrollment planning and execution

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on employee benefits and benefits administration

  • Manage and support Fidelity 401(k) processes, including true-ups

  • Assist with 5500 filings and related benefits compliance

  • Develop and coordinate internal employee communications regarding benefits

  • Help answer employee questions and provide clear guidance on benefit programs

  • Partner with the CPO on various benefits and HR projects as needed

  • Identify issues, research solutions, and independently move projects forward


Qualifications

  • Strong benefits experience within an HR/People function

  • Hands-on experience with Fidelity 401(k) plans, including true-ups

  • Experience with 5500 filings

  • Strong understanding of benefits administration and compliance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and hit the ground running

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

  • Experience with a PEO is helpful but not required
