Accelerate Clinical Facilitator – Per Diem - Workplace Safety & De-escalation - Per Diem - Workplace Safety/De-escalation Position Overview:

The Accelerate Clinical Facilitator (Per Diem) – Workplace Safety & De-escalation is responsible for delivering simulation-based educational programs that improve workplace safety, crisis response, de-escalation techniques, team communication, and organizational readiness across healthcare organizations. Serving as both a subject matter expert and educator, this role facilitates immersive learning experiences focused on preparing healthcare teams to effectively manage behavioral emergencies, aggressive behaviors, workplace violence incidents, and other high-risk situations.

This is an on-demand, per diem position supporting customer engagements as business needs arise. Assignments may include onsite simulation programs, implementation support, educational consultations, and clinical training events throughout the United States and Canada.

Simulation Facilitation & Educational Delivery
  • Facilitate simulation-based learning experiences focused on workplace violence prevention, behavioral crisis management, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Lead structured debriefings that promote critical thinking, communication, and performance improvement.
  • Deliver Accelerate educational programs in accordance with established educational and clinical standards.
  • Adapt educational delivery to meet the needs of individual healthcare organizations and teams.
Subject Matter Expertise & Customer Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted educational consultant to healthcare leaders, clinical educators, security teams, physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Promote evidence-based practices related to verbal de-escalation, situational awareness, personal safety, and coordinated team response.
  • Evaluate learner performance and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and psychologically secure learning environment.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Accelerate operations, clinical faculty, and customer success teams to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Participate in faculty development, continuing education, and facilitator calibration activities.
  • Represent Accelerate professionally while fostering strong customer relationships and service excellence.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate would be located in Texas
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration, Medicine, or another relevant discipline required.
  • Current unrestricted professional licensure or certification appropriate to profession, where applicable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in emergency care, behavioral health, hospital security, public safety, law enforcement, corrections, EMS, military healthcare, operational training, or workplace violence prevention programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, workplace safety, behavioral emergency response, or team communication.
  • Experience educating adult learners in professional or healthcare environments.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer engagements with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada.(approximately 70–100%, based on facilitator availability and customer demand).Overnight and occasional weekend travel required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while facilitating educational programs.
  • Ability to lift and transport simulation equipment up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher.
  • CHSE, CPI Instructor, MOAB Instructor, AVADE®, TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer, Crisis Intervention Instructor, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience implementing workplace violence prevention programs.
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary simulation programs and simulation debriefings.
  • Experience working in academic medical centers or large integrated health systems.
  • Experience facilitating multidisciplinary education involving healthcare providers, security teams, behavioral health professionals, and public safety personnel.
  • Prior law enforcement, military, healthcare security, or public safety training experience highly desirable.
Simulation Experience Preferred
  • High-fidelity and in situ simulation.
  • Structured debriefing methodologies.
  • TeamSTEPPS or similar teamwork frameworks.
  • Competency-based education and adult learning principles.
  • Psychological safety and scenario-based crisis response training.
  • Previous experience serving as a simulation educator, workplace violence instructor, or simulation center faculty member.
Daily Rate

$600/daily rate. All travel expenses (flights, meals, accommodations, transportation, etc.) eligible for reimbursement
