Job description

Job Summary:

Parkview Health is seeking a dedicated RN Quality and Accreditation Specialist (RN QAS) to support our mission, vision, and strategic goals through performance and quality improvement initiatives. In this key role, you will research, plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate quality improvement projects. You will work closely with providers, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards and promote best practice care across the system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and coordinate performance/quality improvement initiatives and regulatory activities.
  • Analyze process and outcome measures to improve quality outcomes aligned with Parkview’s goals.
  • Collaborate across clinical and ancillary departments to support implementation of best practices.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deadlines.
  • Educate staff and leadership on quality improvement and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, and other applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
    • Master’s degree preferred
    • Training/knowledge in regulatory standards preferred
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current RN licensure required
    • Must obtain Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) within 3 years of hire
  • Experience:
    • 1–2 years of recent experience in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, infection control, risk management, or related field
    • 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience required
    • Project management or leadership experience preferred
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience in public speaking and staff education
    • Basic to moderate knowledge of research, statistics, and Quality Improvement concepts
    • Preferred experience with EPIC, database/spreadsheet tools, and metrics from Vizient
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
