Your New Role
  • Service Areas: Central Indiana, including the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area and surrounding communities within approximately a two-hour drive of Indianapolis.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVACR systems

  • Service equipment in retail, supermarket, commercial, and industrial environments

  • Perform preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and energy management systems

  • Repair refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, humidity control, temperature control, and control systems

  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues

  • Replace defective components and adjust system controls to optimize performance

  • Perform startups, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of commercial HVACR equipment

  • Service supermarket low-temperature and medium-temperature cases, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, ice machines, packaged rooftop units, air handlers, heat pumps, furnaces, exhaust fans, and commercial food service equipment

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, multi-zone heating and cooling systems, and parallel rack systems

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation

  • Build strong customer relationships and develop an understanding of customer needs and expectations

  • Communicate system conditions, findings, and repair recommendations professionally

  • Complete accurate service reports and required documentation

  • Manage daily service calls and maintain company-provided vehicle, tools, and inventory

  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting emergency service operations

  • Represent Samsun Mechanical with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on field experience as an HVACR service technician servicing commercial and industrial HVACR equipment

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • EPA Universal Certification

  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills for commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively

  • Commercial refrigeration experience preferred

  • Grocery store or supermarket refrigeration experience preferred

  • Experience with HVACR controls, including Novar, Emerson/CPC, and Danfoss, preferred

  • Experience with Parallel Rack Systems preferred

  • Trade School or Vocational School training preferred

  • Experience servicing the following equipment preferred:

    • Walk-in Coolers and Freezers

    • Reach-in Coolers and Freezers

    • Supermarket Low-Temperature and Medium-Temperature Cases

    • Parallel Rack Systems

    • Direct Digital Controls (DDC)

    • Medical and Laboratory Refrigeration Equipment

    • Ice Machines

    • Commercial Food Service Equipment

    • Furnaces

    • Heat Pumps

    • Air Conditioners

    • Packaged Rooftop Units (RTUs)

    • Air Handlers

    • Air Curtains

    • Exhaust Fans

  • Experience working in supermarket, grocery, retail, warehouse, storage, or commercial refrigeration environments is a plus
