Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced CPA to join our firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing tax returns prepared our tax preparation team. This role will also involve tax planning with clients, tax return preparation, and providing expert guidance to the tax preparation team. The successful candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in public accounting firm structure, tax planning, and preparation.
Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Current and valid CPA license required. CPA firm experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the preparation and review of induvial and corporate tax returns including but not limited to Forms 1040, 1120S, 1120, 1065, 1041, 706, and 709.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, both domestic and international
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate a high-performing tax team
  • Exceptional analytical and problem- solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Provide training and support to the tax team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • O versee the company's tax department to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profitability
  • Research and interpret tax laws and regulations, keeping the company informed of any changes that may impact the business
