Position Summary

The Head Track amp; Field Coach provides visionary leadership for the Covenant Christian Academy Boys and Girls Track amp; Field program, leading Middle School and High School student-athletes through Christ-centered coaching, competitive excellence, and purposeful development. This individual is responsible for building a unified program that develops young men and women spiritually, physically, and mentally while cultivating a culture that reflects the mission of Covenant Christian Academy Athletics. The Head Coach oversees all aspects of the program, including athlete development, staff leadership, program administration, competition preparation, and communication with families. The ideal candidate is a relational, organized, and growth-minded leader who models Christlike character, develops coaches and athletes, and pursues excellence with humility, discipline, and integrity.

Key Role Responsibilities Program Leadership
  • Lead and oversee the Middle School and High School Track amp; Field program.

  • Establish and sustain a Christ-centered culture aligned with the Cougar Way.

  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches.

  • Build alignment across all levels of the program to ensure long-term athlete development.

  • Foster meaningful relationships with student-athletes, families, and the school community.


Coaching amp; Athlete Development
  • Develop athletes through sound fundamentals, event-specific instruction, and purposeful training.

  • Design and implement practice plans that maximize growth, preparation, and performance.

  • Prepare athletes and teams for district, regional, and state competition.

  • Cultivate leadership, discipline, accountability, humility, and sportsmanship.

  • Encourage the spiritual, athletic, academic, and personal growth of every student-athlete.

Program Operations
  • Coordinate practice schedules, meet logistics, travel, equipment, uniforms, and facilities.

  • Manage program communication with athletes, families, and the Athletic Department.

  • Ensure compliance with TAPPS, school policies, and athletic department expectations.

  • Assist with budgeting, equipment stewardship, and offseason planning.

  • Represent Covenant Christian Academy with professionalism and integrity.

  • A passion for mentoring and developing student-athletes through Christian education.
