  • Responsible for assisting with supervision of staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Sportsbook department. Supports, administers, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Shares responsibility for the overall integrity of daily operations on assigned shift.
  • Closes out tellers at the end of their shifts, ensuring that all money and supporting documentation has been accounted for and secured appropriately.
  • Sends out daily reports as required.
  • Verifies cash drawers, completes reports, rate casino customer activity, and monitor sports book for suspicious activity.
  • Prepares and stocks all the daily sports sheets.
  • Explains wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests as needed.
  • Notifies leadership team of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity.
  • Approves and denies wagers from guests, as permitted.
  • Updates and maintains all customer sheets.
  • Monitors all monies being wagered and updates the betting odds according to policy.
  • Understanding of wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests.
  • Assists with the management of processes for all pari-mutuel wages in the tote system.
  • Assists with the management of writing, verifying, and making payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations.
  • Monitors Sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitors player tracking cards.
  • Verifies tickets and payoffs.
  • May be responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Monitors operation supply inventory on assigned shift. Notifies manager of issues.
  • Prepares/reviews currency transactions reports in absence of Manager on assigned shift.
  • Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Player Services Department for which this position is responsible.
  • Safeguards all cash assets.
  • Verifies vault accountability at end of shift on assigned shift.
  • Verifies credit line availability in absence of Manager on assigned shift.
  • Prepares customer deposit and safekeeping log.
  • Ensures all staff are trained and follow CTR and SARC procedures; responsible for making sure all paperwork is completed and reported in accordance with established compliance procedures.
  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow team members.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must possess a valid driver's license and have acceptable driving history as determined by PENN Entertainment, Inc.'s auto insurance carrier.
