Job description

PARTY HERO JOB DESCRIPTION

The Party Hero (Event Host) will work with kids and adults to create a fun and engaging experience for ALL event guests through courteous, friendly, and professional assistance while upholding Amp Up Action Park safety regulations. During a typical event, for example, the Hero would greet/check in party guests and verify waiver compliance, set up/clean up party room promptly, serve food and beverages, etc. The Hero will also be expected to assist with cleaning facility common areas as needed as well as having basic knowledge of both the Point of Sale and Scheduling system.

Qualifications

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service

  • Must be able to interact and communicate well with children, parents, and crew members.

  • Ability to project voice and be heard in a loud environment

  • Ability to enforce rules

  • Ability to handle large groups of children

  • Ability to engage in guests (all ages) conversations

  • Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate and organize party food orders to the kitchen staff to ensure timely food arrival.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain positive relations and rapport with guests

  • Serve pizza, cake and drinks to all guests in a safe and sanitary fashion

  • Engage guests (all ages) in conversation

  • Create a fun environment

  • Troubleshoot; appease unhappy guests (all ages) when a situation arises

  • Responsible for set up and clean-up of party area

  • Greet the party and escort to different activity areas in a timely fashion

  • Create a party gift list of presents

  • Custodial duties as requested

  • Cashier when needed

  • Present a professional appearance at all times

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Attend required Hero training sessions

Amp Up Action Park is a high energy, high volume family entertainment center located at 13901 Manchester Road in West County St. Louis. Amp Up is locally owned and will offer a variety of attractions to appeal to all ages, including go karts, laser tag, ropes course, classic and interactive gaming. Our 50,000-sq-ft indoor action park features a trackside bar and casual, quick food service.
