Position: Saturday Course Intern

Department: The Saturday Course

Location: CSG 128 part-time Saturdays, Academic Year

FLSA: Exempt

Classification: Staff (Academic Year)

Salary: $15.00/hr

Summary of Position:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Set up activities and games

  • Work in classrooms with teachers who provide them with training and mentorship

  • Assist with supply organization and clean up

  • Receive feedback and guidance from the program director

  • Help with snacks and recess

  • Assist teachers with lessons during daily sessions

  • In some cases, interns are designated to support classes in which they have particular skills and interests

  • Provide additional support to the program as determined by the director

  • Assist with arrival and dismissal duties

Supervision to be received: Saturday Course Director

Supervision to be exercised: n/a

Education/Certification/Licensure

Required: enrolled in High School or equivalent

Experience

Preferred: Experience working with children in schools, camps, or other organizational settings

Physical Abilities

Required:

  • Must be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours each day in conjunction with OSHA requirements.

  • Must be able to move around the Milton Academy campus without restriction.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
