The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Administration, Assets and Resource Management Bureau, has a full-time vacancy for Warehouse Team Lead (Stock Control Supervisor), SOC Title 43-5070 INVENTORY CLERKS-3. This position has a 40 hour work week and is considered non-exempt.
Summary:
To perform duties in a centralized warehouse of the Department of Safety (DOS) involving the maintaining of inventory levels and distribution of supplies and forms.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
Education and experience must be in business administration, logistics, warehouse operations, stock clerk, inventory, courier services, operations management or a related field.
License/Certification: Valid driver's license.
Other Requirements:
1. Must pass a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information.
2. Candidate must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Trainee Option: Candidates with an equivalent combination of 1+ years of relevant education and experience after completion of high school may be considered and hired in 'trainee status' for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in inventory management, warehousing and courier services is preferred.
AFTER-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Successfully complete online defensive and distracted driving courses within 7 days of hire.
2. Obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.

When applicable, the work of an employee in trainee status in this position shall be overseen by a fully qualified individual. An employee in trainee status shall meet the minimum qualifications within the period of time specified on the SJD, not to exceed one year of being hired into this position.
Responsibilities:
Schedules warehousing activities with customers, suppliers and staff, including coordinating the Department of Safety's statewide courier routes to ensure timely delivery of stock and customer satisfaction.
Maintains records of stock received, stock shipped, and inventory control of available stock, costs of materials, vendor information, invoices of shipments and miscellaneous costs by utilizing computer software to enter and retrieve inventory information.
Supervises the daily activities of Stock Clerks to ensure materials and supplies are stored and delivered timely.
Assists with the ordering of supplies by assessing current supplies, reporting procurement needs to supervisors, and processing approved purchase orders. Receives and inspects product from vendors and determines placement within the warehouse.
Maintains consumable inventory and printed materials in the warehouse. Accountable for notification of stock levels that need purchasing. Reports all discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
Operates equipment, such as fork lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and vans to move materials and supplies to store, inventory, or deliver goods.
Compiles and mails packages of various DOS supplied forms requested by Town Clerk and local Police Departments in a timely manner in assistance to mailroom operations.
Picks up and inventories all fixed asset items that are being surplused and ensures that items are taken to State Surplus in support of Fixed Assets section.
Performs the duties of a mail clerk, stock clerk and courier mail run as necessary to maintain timely and accurate operation of the Warehouse activities.
