Job description

Role Summary:
Drivers will deliver windows, doors, lumber and materials. Drivers may be driving box trucks or flatbed trailers. Position involves physical labor as drivers are responsible for loading, checking, securing and delivering loads. Our drivers are home daily and generally off on the weekends.
Scope of the Position:
Drivers are based at the Huntsville site, but travel daily to make regional deliveries.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities expected of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Delivering windows, doors, lumber and materials to include loading, securing, and unloading
  • Reading orders/paperwork and identifying load errors
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
  • Maintaining company, D.O.T., and traffic regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service

Position Qualifications:
  • Must have a Health card with a clean MVR
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission
  • Ability to drive in a range of weather and job-site conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Education and Experience:
  • 1-2 years of driving experience
  • 2 years delivery & customer service experience

.Physical Requirements:
  • Drivers must be able to perform physical labor to include loading, unloading, and securing heavy loads.
  • Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, walking and standing are required for this position. Weights range from 25 lbs. to 200 lbs. plus.
  • Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather.

You will be expected to follow any other job related instructions and to perform other job related duties as requested by management.
