Position Overview

Balance and Bliss Counseling is seeking dedicated, fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. In this full-time remote position, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge clients' mental and emotional well-being, ensuring a thorough understanding of their unique needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that are reflective of clients' goals and preferences, utilizing assessments and ongoing feedback.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions tailored to clients of all ages, addressing a wide range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and more.
  • Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships.
  • Regularly review and adjust treatment plans in accordance with clients' progress, ensuring responsiveness to any changes in their needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, consistently documenting progress notes and treatment updates inline with compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and refer clients to additional resources and services as necessary.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and provide timely support for clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and strategies in marriage and family therapy through continual professional development and training.
  • Advocate for clients' rights, ensuring their access to necessary services and empowering them to make informed treatment choices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele ranges from adolescents struggling with identity and self-esteem issues to adults and couples facing challenges in communication and emotional intimacy. You will have the opportunity to create meaningful connections and facilitate healing in a diverse array of situations, contributing to each client's personal journey toward mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
  • Current and active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapy to individuals and couples, with a strong preference for those with a background in child and adolescent therapy.
  • Ability to document clientsโ€™ progress efficiently and complete assessments and treatment plans in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, combined with a willingness to learn and adapt to electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a fully remote work setting is a plus, as it demonstrates your capacity to deliver therapy services through virtual platforms effectively.
  • Solid understanding of current therapeutic methodologies and evidence-based practices in the field of marriage and family therapy.
