Summary:

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Quality & Performance, the Special Projects Director is responsible for coordinating projects related to the planning, design, and implementation of client electronic systems and program evaluations. This role also leads other related special projects in partnership with the Executive Leadership team at the Ibero-American Action League.

  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to analyze requirements, create specifications, build, test, and implement data and reporting solutions that are needed to support programs.
  • Monitors user activity across systems and identifies gaps, data integrity concerns, and process improvements.
  • Provides additional support and training to directors, coordinators, and their teams, as needed and required.
  • Provides regular maintenance of existing systems in partnership with systemโ€™s consultants. To include working with the vendor on systems updates, planning for system changes, and other system updates.
  • Stays current and attends trainings for system changes and upgrades.
  • In partnership with program leaders and the IT manager, support user setup, removal, and data systems related tickets.
  • Works with the executive leadership team and agency directors to write, package, and submit grant requests on an ongoing basis.
  • Creates and standardizes the curation of agency information for the purposes of fulfilling various grant application requests, including standard information such as an overview of the agency, history, and standard supporting documentation.
  • Aligns Ibero with local, county, and state efforts to integrate systems, where appropriate.
  • Works in collaboration with staff members on any other initiatives that may arise.
  • Lead implementation projects for all electronic client systems across the enterprise.
  • Works closely with the Quality Operations Coordinators to ensure internal controls are established in all electronic client systems.
  • Represent Ibero in meetings and any other community related activities.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.


Authority:

This position holds a relatively high degree of independence within the framework of the agencyโ€™s policies and procedures. The individual must be resourceful and able to display initiative and understanding of management systems and interpersonal relations. Must keep immediate supervisor abreast of issues and concerns which merit intervention from higher level management staff.

Skills and Abilities:

  • A minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience supervising others and leading program services.
  • A minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ experience leading at the division level projects.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in leading an implementation of client electronic systems.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, ability to provide own transportation and travel to various locations.
  • Experience working with community human services providers.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Must be able to perform all functions with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with grant funding requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • A combination of training and experience other than the specified, if judged to be adequate for the job, may considered.


Physical Demands:

The position does require occasional standing, squatting, lifting of up to approximately 10 lbs. And frequent sitting.
