Job description

We are a growing Orange County architecture firm seeking a motivated Architectural Designer / Project Architect to join our team full-time. This position is ideal for someone with at least two years of professional architecture experience who is highly proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modeling and enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and develop architectural drawings and construction documents
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings using AutoCAD
  • Create and update 3D models and presentations using SketchUp
  • Assist with residential project design and development
  • Coordinate drawing revisions throughout various phases of a project
  • Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and other team members
  • Help maintain project organization, drawing standards, and deadlines
  • Participate in project meetings and design coordination as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of professional architecture experience
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting
  • Strong proficiency in SketchUp
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal professional English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a small team
  • Residential architecture experience is preferred
  • Architecture degree preferred
  • Architectural license is not required
Compensation & Schedule
  • Starting salary: $75,000 annually
  • Full-time position
  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in the office and 1 day working remotely
  • Retirement plan with employer matching contribution available subject to a 2-year vesting period
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits are not currently offered

We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, eager to grow, and interested in becoming an integral part of a collaborative architecture practice.

Salary: Starting at $75,000/year
