Job Description Summary:

The Manager of the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Team will provide leadership and management oversight to the SCRM Team and work with Supply Chain and Market Area leadership to ensure corporate SCRM practices are incorporated into Programs, including development of tailored SCRM Plans and accurate assessment and analysis of critical Draper suppliers in support of Draper Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This position entails a focused commitment to assessing companies in the defense industrial base and managing the implementation of Supply Chain Risk Management NIST 800-53 control family to mitigate risks in the Draper supply chain. The candidate should have experience drafting documentation to support compliance and process, including but not limited to SOW (Statements of Work), RFP (Request for Proposals), design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and manuals, to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products. This position will leverage supply chain risk technologies and stringent organizational protocols to ensure that analysis and processes are timely and conducted in a manner that comply with DoD and program-specific supply chain policy and security requirements.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Leads SCRM for Navy Strategic Systems Market Area
  • Developing and evaluating organizational SCRM standards, offering suggestions for process improvements, and supporting operational adoption. Review existing SCRM frameworks, incorporating feedback, and making changes. Leads and identifies improvements of manufacturing, process, and product efficiency to reduce nonconforming products.
  • Identifying vulnerabilities: Analyzing systems to identify critical components and areas of risk for defense programs. Ensure Draper deliverables meet the organizations and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.
  • Assessing suppliers: Verifying that suppliers have an adequate security culture. Using open-source tools to assess suppliers, including assessing supplier foreign ownership, control, or influence (FOCI).
  • Supply Chain Risk monitoring: Monitor any major changes to the supply chain. Managing security and compliance. Documenting policies and procedures for security, integrity, resilience, and quality of suppliers, systems, components.
  • Compiling and presenting assessments to programs and customers. Provides supply chain security analysis and expertise throughout the system lifecycle process to product development or operations team. Compiling technical requirements documentation for customer system engineering technical reviews (SETR) events
  • Collaboration and Communication: Lead a cross functional team across Draper to ensure that SCRM operations align with Draper's protocols. Provide updates relevant stakeholders regarding the status of vetting projects.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers, suppliers, and employees in resolving issues. Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction.
  • Mentoring of less experienced team members / engineers on supply chain risk management / security topics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Expert familiarity with DFARS, FAR, TAA, and supply chain relevant compliance topics: NDAA 889, 1260H or similar.
  • Understand concepts around nearshoring, friend shoring, country of origin, and other relevant supply chain risk topics.
  • Ability to obtain / maintain at least a DoD Secret clearance

    Education

    Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Master's degree preferred

    Experience

    Requires 7+ years of experience in relevant engineering or other comparable roles.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is

    $117,500.00 - $307,500.00

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
