The Production Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our countertop manufacturing facility, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of quality.This role oversees all aspects of production, including scheduling, workforce management, equipment utilization, quality, productivity, inventory flow, and continuous improvement. The Production Manager partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Inventory, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, and Safety to ensure production goals are achieved while developing a high-performing team focused on operational excellence.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead all daily countertop manufacturing operations to ensure production, quality, safety, and delivery goals are consistently achieved.Execute production schedules while balancing labor, equipment capacity, and material availability to maximize efficiency.Monitor daily production performance and adjust resources as necessary to meet changing business demands.Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement while developing tomorrow's leaders.Ensure countertops are manufactured in accordance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and established operating procedures.Drive reductions in scrap, rework, waste, and production downtime through Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.Utilize production metrics, KPIs, and operational data to identify trends, improve throughput, and optimize labor productivity.Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, overtime, and operational expenses while identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or customer service.Qualifications & Required SkillsBachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience considered.5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a production leadership role.Countertop, stone fabrication, cabinetry, building products, or related manufacturing experience strongly preferred.Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.Experience managing production scheduling, labor planning, and operational performance.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Mental stamina is essential.
