Counter Sales Leader
Department: Sales Counter
Position Summary
The Counter Sales Leader supports the Branch Operations Manager by providing day-to-day leadership for the counter sales team while delivering exceptional customer service. This role coordinates daily counter operations, supports team development, builds strong customer relationships, and helps drive branch performance.


Key Responsibilities
•    Lead by example while performing all Counter Sales Associate responsibilities.
•    Coordinate daily counter staffing and workflow in partnership with the Branch Operations Manager.
•    Train, coach, and support the development of counter sales team members.
•    Process customer orders, provide basic product and technical support, and identify add-on sales opportunities.
•    Build lasting customer relationships by understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional service.
•    Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
•    Process returns, restock inventory, assist with will-call orders, and maintain a clean, organized, and professional counter area.
•    Assist throughout the branch, including counter, warehouse, and delivery operations, as business needs require.
•    Prepare reports, complete operational documentation, and support continuous process improvements.
•    Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment following required training and certification.
•    Regularly lift, move, and position products up to 70 pounds, while performing frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and other physical tasks associated with warehouse and counter operations.
•    Support company quality, safety, and operational initiatives.


Qualifications
•    High school diploma or equivalent required.
•    Two or more years of warehouse, distribution, counter sales, or related experience required.
•    Working knowledge of Caniff Electric Supply products and branch operations preferred.
•    Demonstrated leadership ability with strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
•    Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
