Sales Support

Location: Eagle Creek, Oregon
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Yard/Office Role

The Role

Devil Mountain Wholesale Nursery is seeking a dependable Sales Support professional to assist Sales Representatives, support front counter operations, and help ensure smooth daily business operations.

This role serves as a key support partner to the Sales Team by preparing estimates, entering orders, assisting customers, and providing backup coverage to the front office as needed. The Sales Support position also collaborates across departments to resolve order issues, maintain inventory accuracy, and support operational initiatives.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and a customer-first mindset.

What You’ll Do

  • Answer and transfer incoming calls and assist with basic customer inquiries
  • Prepare estimates and enter customer orders for Sales Representatives
  • Provide reliable backup coverage to the front counter
  • Assist customers in the yard with plant inspections and product selection as needed
  • Support order follow-up and help resolve quality or delivery issues
  • Review incoming shipments and organize pending sales orders
  • Complete customer requests for product photos and specifications
  • Support inventory tasks including label printing and stock counts
  • Perform accurate cash handling and register reconciliation
  • Assist with cross-departmental projects and operational initiatives

What You Bring

Required

  • 2+ years of office or administrative experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to transition between indoor and outdoor environments

Preferred

  • Sales support or front counter experience
  • Nursery, landscape, or related industry experience
  • Experience with POS and inventory systems
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Work Environment & Expectations

This is a full-time onsite position located at our yard/office. Remote work is not available.

The role requires frequent transitions between indoor and outdoor environments throughout the day. Indoor work may involve extended sitting or standing and extensive typing or 10-key use.

Outdoor work includes exposure to dust, pollen, moisture, seasonal allergens, and uneven ground surfaces. Physical activity may include walking, bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting up to 20–30 lbs. Frequent hand movement and plant handling are required.

PPE is required as applicable.
