The Cass Job Corps Center, located in Ozark, AR is seeking a Center Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) to provide professional mental health services to Job Corps students. This role is essential in supporting the emotional well-being, personal growth, and success of young adults ages 16–24 enrolled in the program.

Position Details

Labor Category: Mental Health Consultant (CMHC)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide all labor, materials, and travel necessary to deliver mental health services to students

  • Conduct assessments, counseling sessions, crisis interventions, and referrals as needed

  • Collaborate with center staff to promote a safe, supportive, and healthy environment

  • Develop and implement strategies to address behavioral and emotional challenges

  • Maintain compliance with Job Corps policies, federal guidelines, and professional standards


Licensure & Qualifications

  • Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted license in a mental health discipline (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist)

  • License must have no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions

  • License must remain active throughout the contract period

  • Must meet minimum education and experience requirements (waivers possible with Contracting Officer approval)

  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills required

  • Experience working with adolescents or young adults preferred
