This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years' experience in a position that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:

• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree

Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.

    Schedule patient appointments and coordinate clinic calendars. 
    Obtain and organize medical records, family histories, and laboratory reports. 
    Prepare patient charts for genetic counseling appointments. 
    Assist with genetic testing coordination, including test ordering, specimen tracking, and result management. 
    Communicate with patients regarding appointment details, testing logistics, and follow-up instructions. 
    Coordinate with laboratories, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding test authorization and billing. 
    Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic health record 
    Assist with prior authorizations and insurance verification for genetic testing. 
    Prepare educational materials and resources for patients. 
    Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects. 
    Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and institutional policies. 
    Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, answering phones, and managing correspondence.
