Comfort of Home Counseling Center is excited to announce a full-time opening for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This role will allow you to leverage your clinical expertise to support clients facing various mental health challenges. As a key member of our team, you will engage with individuals seeking support for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use disorders, creating tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique needs.

Work Environment

This position is remote, offering flexibility while maintaining the core value of connection with clients. You will be part of a dynamic outpatient mental health practice, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to holistic approaches to mental well-being. Regular team meetings will ensure you remain integrated with the practice while delivering services through telehealth platforms and secure communication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine patients' psychological and emotional status.
  • Design tailored therapy plans that address individual needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, focusing on individual, group, and, if appropriate, family counseling to foster support systems.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring consistent communication with clients about their journey.
  • Provide referrals to additional services such as psychiatry or support groups when necessary, creating a comprehensive care approach.
  • Document session notes accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of various mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and cultural competence in clinical practice.
  • Strong mentorship capabilities to assist in the growth of junior staff and interns.
Preferred Experience
  • Proficient in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions through innovative techniques that promote engagement and recovery.
  • Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention strategies, exhibiting calmness and professionalism under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits
