Job description

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill Electronics ControlsTechnician position located in Villa Rica, Georgia.
Printpack offers a clean, safe, climate-controlled work environment. We offer competitive wages and benefits package, including an incentive program and 401(k) plan with company match beginning on your first day of employment.

Pay:$30.84 - $46.26

Plus an additional night shift premium of $2.50 per hour

Schedule: 12-hour night shift. 3/2 rotating schedule. 7pm - 7am (after training)

Minimum Requirements

  • Knowledge and/or experience with control system hardware and software design

  • Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC)

  • Some experience as Electronics Technician or similar competencies

  • Understanding of electrical/electronicsystems/troubleshooting

  • Basic ability to work and troubleshoot PLC's, ladder logic, and communication systems

  • Understand and manipulate industrial communications

  • Troubleshoot Servo Motors

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC drives

  • Basic knowledge and understanding in process control systems such as: temperature

  • control, pressure control, flow control and PID control loops

  • Knowledge and/or experience with troubleshooting basic electrical circuits

  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings

  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Requirement

Industrial controls experience is highly preferred

Additional Job Description

  • Conduct Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment, including motor relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, circuits, and electrical distribution systems

  • Modify machinery logic systems (PLC's) and PC based systems and requires working knowledge of DC/AC drives in function and as they relate to an overall web-handling process, Allen Bradley, Parker and Seimens PLCs

  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams

  • Acquire/requisition spare parts related to power distribution and all electrical and electronic systems

  • Make electrical modifications and upgrades to current equipment and installation of new equipment with the ability to run conduit and size wiring systems

  • Review specifications and acquires power distribution materials needed for new equipment installations

  • Work outside the electronic/electrical area is expected when capable or when assisting another associate

  • Effective communication with corporate engineering, vendors, internal customers and working on teams

  • Proficient in computerized maintenance software

  • Communicate actions taken to repair the machine to Operator and/or Lead

  • Document parts used and repairs completed in management system

  • Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards

  • Willing to function as a fire crew member

  • Willing to function as a first responder for medical/first aid

  • Maintain fire and security systems
