Job description

Cost Savings Engineer

Rockton, Illinois

JD:

· Bs degree in mechanical with 6+ years experience in cost saving , value analysis / value engineering (va/ve)

· lead structured value analysis / value engineering (va/ve) and on product, materials/components, specification, manufacturing and elimination of cost

· maintain cost-savings and scorecard, reporting pipeline value, schedule performance

· establish project owners, milestones, validation , implementation and impact

· prioritize opportunities on savings , feasibility and identify , escalate , cross-functional stakeholders

· continually identify new cost-reduction across product portfolio and maintain opportunity funnel

· with purchasing and suppliers to evaluate components, materials, suppliers, and supplier generated cost reduction

· to determine savings opportunities are feasible, and appropriate for products

· coordinate in design changes, prototype builds, testing, qualification, and production implementation

· ensure changes maintain product safety, quality, reliability, performance, regulatory compliance, manufacturability, serviceability, and customer experience

with finance and purchasing to establish savings , develop business cases and validate impact
