Job description

BPGS Construction, LLC ("BPGS") is a full service construction management subsidiary of BPG. The company provides a broad range of integrated pre-construction and construction management services for BPG as well as select third parties. BPGS has completed or is currently involved in capital improvements related projects that includes hotels, offices, residential, retail and parking.

Job Title: Intern

Job Purpose
BPGS Construction Interns are teamed up with superintendents and/or project managers to obtain hands-on field and project management experience in all phases of construction. Internship opportunities are designed to enrich the studentโ€™s collegiate experience and provide them with the knowledge and skills not found in a classroom setting.

Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ขMaintains adherence to company standards of safety
โ€ขPrioritizes paperwork and submittal process
โ€ขMaintains material delivery status
โ€ขArchives contract records
โ€ขSets up the initial paperwork flow
โ€ขMaintains and distributes meeting minutes
โ€ขManages all project files
โ€ขAssists the superintendent in the formulation of the project plan
โ€ขMaintains communication with subcontractors
โ€ขAssist with RFI logs, subcontractor correspondence, maintains all site construction documents, and fills out and maintains daily reports
โ€ขAll other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience
โ€ขCurrently pursuing a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
โ€ขProficiency in Microsoft Office products
โ€ขExperience with construction preferred.
โ€ขFamiliar with change orders, budgets, cost reporting , estimating, and scheduling preferred.

Physical Requirements
โ€ขRequires standing, walking, and sitting.
โ€ขFrequent stretching and / or bending to access equipment, objects, etc.
โ€ขFrequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
