Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible to perform cost estimating, budgeting, analysis, control and reporting activities.  You will identify cost trends for management attention, support project organizational and administrative activities, and help ensure work is completed as scheduled and on budget. #LI-ML1

Major Responsibilities:
  • Performs cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, project setup, control, analysis, forecasting, and trend program coordination
  • Prepares and coordinates the implementation of cost reporting and ensures accuracy
  • Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
  • Assists in preparation of the Project Financial Status Report (PFSR)
  • Implements measurement systems for given processes, analyzes performance metric results, and identifies opportunities for improvements
  • Prepares, coordinates, and directs cost engineering presentations
  • Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field required
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrated understanding of cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, project setup, control, analysis, forecasting, and trend program coordination
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction (EPC) customarily acquired over time through specialized training or practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Ecosys, Hyperion, and Microsoft Office software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to present complex cost analysis to management
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, problem solving, and enabling decision-making
  • Demonstrated good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for achieving solutions
