Junior Systems Engineer, TS/SCI Security Clearance Required, Onsite in Herndon, VA

We are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer with a current TS/SCI security clearance to join the team. You will work on an integrated team to build innovative software using mathematical solutions to support users in the defense and intelligence communities. Company products and services contribute to missions in support of national security, providing expertise used in the latest technology. This position is ideal for both mid-career and senior experienced individuals in the systems engineering field and offers a chance to grow and explore different technologies within a dynamic AI-driven environment. Must be willing to acquire a CI Polygraph security clearance. We have 5 openings available. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance. This position is 100% Onsite in Herndon, VA.

Junior Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

- Provide systems engineering and enterprise architecture support to customers.

- Work with customers to improve their architecture and engineering workflows and processes with the identification or design of processes and tools.

- Be responsible for articulating and capturing the architecture, system requirements, system design, and testing approach.

- Investigate and capture "As Is" architecture or workflows; identify "To Be" states; and make recommendations on transition from "As Is" to "To Be".

- Develop standard and repeatable processes, as appropriate, to recommend architecture, engineering, development and integration projects. Familiarity with System V and how that is used to develop products in order to apply it to customer practices.

- Produce and support leadership team in the identification and creation of Enterprise Architecture Repository artifacts as required.

- Support engineering review boards.

Junior Systems Engineer Qualifications:

- Must have a current TS/SCI security clearance.

- Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of experience may be substituted.

- Need 5+ years of experience.

- Experience performing most aspects of the system engineering including requirements analysis, interface control documentation, ConOps development, Use Case development, data flows and developing Test Plans.

- Familiarity with a Requirements Tool.

- Scrum/Agile Development (Jira).

- Familiar with deployment and maintenance of Development, Test and Operational environments.

- Certification in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

- Experience with software and system development projects using model bases system engineering.

- Familiar with Enterprise Architecture concepts, System Engineering Principles as depicted in the System V, and MBSE realization in a model.

- Worked on a team using Agile or SAFe development processes.

- Practices best practices when writing requirements.

- Familiarity with Aerospace Engineering and space operations is a big plus.
