Job Summary

Leeward Renewable Energy (P2) is currently seeking an experienced Cost Controller to prepare, analyze, verify and report project financial information and measure the effect of such information on the overall performance of Leeward Renewable Energy Wind, Storage and Solar PV projects.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate/Work closely with Project Managers, Development Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and other functional groups to assure cost controls needs are met in an effective and timely manner.
  • Prepare cost information to forecast final expected costs and timing of weekly cashflow forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Site Project Managers and various LRE functions (accounting, finance, treasury, procurement, development, etc.) and provide detailed and timely analysis of project performance and variances, make appropriate recommendations and prepare reports, as required.
  • Utilize industry standards and procedures to ensure project control data/information satisfies project management cost, estimating, planning and schedules needs.
  • Maintain a project control database for use in preparing project cost variance reports in support of budgets and PPAโ€™s financial models.
  • Maintain and update specific project control information and collect, sort and analyze progress reports covering status of completion, schedule and manpower utilization.
  • Evaluate proposed changes and modifications to existing project controls tools and recommend alternatives where necessary to specific plans, schedules, or cash flows.
  • Coordinate the preparation and collating of engineering, procurement and construction bid packages.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Accounting.
  • Six (6) years of experience in cost controls, database management, project reporting, project management or applicable engineering and/or construction of power generation facilities and/or transmission or electrical substations, preferably within the renewables space.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Excel, analytical database management, and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, data programming and scripts, Power BI are highly recommended.
Location & Physical Demands

This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval.
Travel to corporate offices and/or sites as necessary to support the Business is required. Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty-pound boxes.
