Job Description
DPR Construction is seeking an experienced Cost Control Specialist to support financial planning and cost management for modular assembly operations at the Houston Prefabrication Assembly Facility (PAF). This role ensures accurate tracking of budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and maintaining compliance with DPR's financial standards. The position collaborates with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to optimize cost efficiency across all phases of assembly. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets for assembly operations.

  • Monitor actual costs against forecasts and report variances.

  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs for modular assembly lines.

  • Generate Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) for internal stakeholders' reviews.

  • Support financial forecasting for multi-phase assembly projects.

  • Collaborate with preconstruction teams to validate cost estimates.

  • Ensure adherence to DPR's cost coding standards and audit requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records in CMiC .

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement and logistics.

  • Recommend process improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
