In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:
  • Building strong working relations with Providers, Managers, and staff.

  • Work effectively with the Training Department to contributor on all assignments.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Purpose: This position will be responsible for assisting with onboarding new medical assistants. Training all processes of back-office clinic.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
  • Training and educating medical assistants for all back-office clinic duties.
  • Proficient in EMA, NextGen, and Phreesia.
  • Completing 30, 60, and 90-day performance reviews with medical assistants
  • Working to build successful teams with the Practice Managers.
  • MIPS training
  • EMA training classes for multiple staff.
  • Training on E-Rx.
  • Injection training per providers protocols.
  • Training on biopsy procedures and excisions.
  • Accutane training.
  • Documentation for Pathology logs.
  • Sending in Lab requests
  • Sterilization of instruments
  • Proper cleaning of rooms.
  • NextGen EPM training on scheduling.
  • Chart audits to assure proper documentation.
  • Works with the Training Manager to put together protocols, training materials, classes, and staff meetings.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Dermatology Technician is preferred but not required.
  • Medical Assistant training is required.

Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
  • Prior Dermatology, cosmetic, and surgical experience are required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a medical assistant training role.
  • Prior scribing experience is a PLUS!!
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong phone etiquette.
  • Teamwork.
  • Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working on electronic medical records.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
