SUMMARY:   
Profectus Multifamily Management (PMM) is looking for a dynamic and experienced Make Ready Technician to support and execute company strategies related to preparing apartment units for new and existing residents while ensuring every home meets the highest standards across our growing apartment communities within Killeen, Texas. The Make Ready Technician will assist the Maintenance Technician with directly overseeing various tasks related but not limited to performance of all make-ready tasks and general maintenance, including unit repairs, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring, fixtures, cleaning, and cosmetic improvements, with a keen focus on meeting turnover deadlines.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Coordinate with Lead Maintenance Technician and Property Manager to meet unit turn deadlines
  • Inspect vacated units and complete unit turns to market-ready condition using make-ready checklists
  • Conduct final walk-throughs to verify quality and completeness of all make-ready work
  • Report major repair needs to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager
  • Document completed work orders and report any outstanding issues to the maintenance supervisor
  • Manage inventory of tools, equipment, supplies, and spare parts needed to complete work orders
  • Assist in keeping property grounds and common areas clean and always maintained
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Ability to perform make-ready tasks and general maintenance, including unit repairs, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring, fixtures, cleaning, and cosmetic improvements
  • Proficiency using general hand tools, electric power tools, appliance dolly, ladders (including extension ladder)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and pass a background check
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of three (1) year of experience in apartment make-ready, maintenance, or a related trade
  • Experience in capital improvement projects and remodeling preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
