Experienced Dermatology / Plastic Surgery Medical Assistant

$25–$28/hour | Tuesday–Friday | No Evenings or Weekends


Join a boutique NYC dermatology practice specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant with a background in dermatology or plastic surgery to join our clinical team.


You'll work alongside our experienced Lead Medical Assistant and closely with a board-certified dermatologist, with exposure to both medical and advanced cosmetic dermatology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with biopsies, excisions, ED&C, cryotherapy, suture removals, and other dermatologic procedures.
  • Prepare and assist with cosmetic and laser treatments
  • Perform blood draws and venipuncture
  • Obtain and document patient histories, medications, and allergies
  • Prepare and turn over treatment rooms
  • Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions
  • Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Work with the Head Medical Assistant and physician to maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Maintain clinical supplies and a clean, procedure-ready environment

Qualifications

  • Hands-on Medical Assistant experience in dermatology or plastic surgery required
  • Experience assisting with biopsies, excisions, or minor surgical procedures
  • Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills
  • EMR experience
  • Professional, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a busy private practice
  • Cosmetic/laser experience and EMA experience are a plus
  • CMA or CCMA preferred, but not required

Schedule

Tuesday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Full-time, in-person position in New York City.
