About The Opportunity

Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
The maintenance personnel are responsible for maintaining and repairing all industrial machinery and equipment within the facility to keep it in proper working order. As well as maintaining building equipment and facilities.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a related industry such as mechanical experience in the automotive industry, heavy equipment, millwrights or other industrial machinery occupations.
Boiler experience and/or a Special Boiler Operator License is strongly preferred or willingness to obtain Special Boilers License within first 6 months.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by: completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Work with production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Work in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEMs to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipment
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; and use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems
  • Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Use computer system to document work and account for parts
  • Communicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other mode
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Required to participate on the Emergency Response Team
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

  • Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
  • Ability to effectively work in teams
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
  • Ability to read and understand machine part lists, preventative maintenance manuals, schematics and blueprints
  • Proficient computer skills including the ability to navigate and perform needed duties on CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Ability to use rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
  • Ability to operate equipment including machines, alignment tools, high lifts, forklifts, boom lifts, scissors lifts, etc.
  • Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job

Compensation & benefits:

  • The starting wage for this position is$34.56/hour plus $1.50/hour for 3rd shift differential.
  • Hourly rate could be negotiated based on relatable mechanical experience.
