Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Corrugated Box Machine Operator to safely and efficiently set up and operate industrial box-making and converting equipment.

The operator will be responsible for machine setup, production, quality control, basic troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate production records.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate corrugated box production equipment.
  • Read production orders and follow job specifications.
  • Adjust machines to maintain proper box dimensions, folds, cuts, printing, and gluing as applicable.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and make adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot routine problems.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance using hand tools.
  • Record production, downtime, and other required information.
  • Work with and train machine helpers and crew members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial machine operation experience preferred.
  • Corrugated box, printing, converting, or packaging experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience operating a Flexo Folder Gluer or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read production orders and perform basic math.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, climb, and work around machinery.
  • Comfortable working in a loud manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on production position requiring machine setup, operation, quality control, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
