This is a highly complex, multi-building project requiring an experienced field leader with a proven background in large-scale correctional or detention construction.

The Senior Superintendent will have overall responsibility for onsite construction operations, safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, subcontractor coordination, and field execution. The successful candidate will lead a large field organization and play a critical role in delivering the project safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.

  • Coordinate construction sequencing, materials, site logistics, and manpower requirements.
  • Drive project safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.
  • Monitor progress and field productivity while identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Coordinate closely with project management and other project leadership.
  • Support project planning, risk management, forecasting, and execution strategies.
  • Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with contract requirements, plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Provide strong field leadership throughout all phases of the project.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of construction experience with significant field leadership responsibility.
  • Extensive experience with detention, correctional, or prison construction.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale correctional projects, preferably projects of significant complexity and value.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large field organizations and multiple subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, safety, quality control, and field operations.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Strong project execution, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work full-time onsite along the Gulf Coast of Alabama/Florida.
  • Candidates may be based anywhere in the United States; this is a national search.

Benefits

  • $200,000-$250,000 base salary
  • Living allowance
  • Per diem
  • Truck allowance
  • Project completion/performance bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Approximately three-year project assignment
  • Opportunity for continued employment on additional projects following completion
  • Long-term career opportunities with an established construction organization
