Job description

Relocation Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Conduct introductory calls, explain move process, and provide literature to transferee.
  • Manage daily task list, emails, etc.
  • Coordinate entire relocation from start to finish by establishing customer needs and concerns.
  • Schedule pre-move survey.
  • Communicate with customers and accounts effectively throughout the relocation process.
  • Build relationships with customers and accounts to maintain satisfaction.
  • Schedule pick-up and delivery dates; set realistic expectations.
  • Provide moving industry knowledge to customers and accounts.
  • Work closely with operations team to ensure coverage.
  • Work with third-party suppliers.
  • Conduct quality calls daily during the move process; facilitate changes as necessary.
  • Ensure proper authorization for requested services.
  • Interact with departments as needed to service customers.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes and data in internal/external systems.
  • Manage post-move process: debris removal, survey, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Moving industry experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of standard software packages, including Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred experience in household goods customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
  • Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Active listening to questions, comments, concerns, provided answers, responses, or any other inquiries.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
