Director, Corporate & Product Communications

New York, NY • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 10 days ago

Job description

THE WORK:

Ripple is looking for a Director of Communications to lead the external narrative across several of its business lines. This is a senior, high-visibility role for a communications leader who can operate at the level of strategy and sharpen Ripple's voice with the institutional audiences - corporates, asset managers, and capital markets participants - that are imperative to our next phase of growth.

Sitting at the intersection of TradFi and digital assets, you will shape how the market understands Ripple's prime brokerage, treasury management and liquidity platforms. You'll drive product announcements, own and implement the thought leadership that positions Ripple as the infrastructure layer for institutional finance, all through building strategic narratives hand in hand with senior company leaders.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Own the communications strategy across prime brokerage, treasury management and capital markets related products and partners - setting the narrative, managing the calendar, and driving consistent positioning across these product lines
  • Lead announcements end-to-end: partnerships, product launches, market infrastructure integrations, and capital markets milestones, with a keen eye for what moves media
  • Build and own Ripple's thought leadership program in corporate treasury and capital markets - placing executive bylines, managing high profile speaking opportunities for senior spokespeople, and establishing Ripple as the authoritative voice on the convergence of traditional finance and digital assets
  • Develop core messaging architecture that cuts across these product lines in service of the broader company mission and vision, clearly articulating Ripple's differentiation to corporates, asset managers, prime brokerage clients, and financial press
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial and institutional media across Bloomberg, Reuters, FT, WSJ, and other key capital markets and crypto trade press
  • Lead rapid-response and issues communications, ensuring Ripple's position on market events and regulatory developments is fast, accurate, and consistent
  • Partner closely with legal, compliance, product, marketing and others to integrate communications into the broader go-to-market strategy for Ripple's institutional platform

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 8+ years in communications or PR, with substantial experience in financial services, capital markets, institutional fintech, and/or a major digital asset firm
  • Consistent track record placing stories at top-tier financial media and managing sophisticated, multi-product communications programs
  • Experience preparing and managing C-suite spokespeople across media and speaking engagements
  • Deep understanding of capital markets - prime brokerage, fixed income, FX, derivatives, and/or treasury - and how to communicate them to sophisticated audiences
  • Strong existing relationships with financial and crypto press; credibility in both TradFi and digital asset circles
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; sharp judgment and the ability to adapt quickly without losing precision
  • A self-starter AND great teammate - someone who wants to push boundaries, try new ideas, shake up the classic comms playbook, and have fun doing it. We don't take ourselves too seriously - you shouldn't either!
