Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete routine maintenance and minor inspection of corporate aircraft, currently consisting of a Gulfstream G280 and a Gulfstream G550.
  • Conduct required minor DOC inspections, pre & post flight inspections, use CAMP to determine exact maintenance to perform following the aircraft maintenance programs (Gulfstream G550 and G280) and required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Weekly checks of all aircrafts verifying operation of landing gear rollers, WOW switches for proper lubrication to help prevent binding of gear doors/landing gear and transient lights to illuminate, lubricate struts to help prevent sand from penetrating the o'ring, clean landing gear and wheel wells once a week and/or sooner if required from runway contamination, this also ALL helps in preventing corrosion.
  • Weekly check for paint chips, chunks or cracks on both aircraft, treat accordingly to help prevent additional damage.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and/or Sr. Maintenance Technician to consistently check and verify there are no open discrepancies on aircraft, and all paperwork is up to date.
  • Use equipment and parts from the Rite Hite "parts crib" for regular replacement and/or usable maintenance components (Starter Generators, Brake Assemblies, Tires/Wheels, O2, Nitrogen, Life Raft/Vests, Lights etc.)
  • Conduct preventative maintenance prior to any scheduled major on/off site DOCs, Phase inspections and routine maintenance for Rite Hite corporate aircraft to reduce aircraft downtime and cost.
  • Ensure utilization of best practices with respect to Rite Hite corporate aircraft inspection, maintenance and general upkeep through attendance and successful completion of recommended initial, recurrent and advanced classwork through required and elective courses of Flight Safety International. All working towards Master Technician.
  • Able to obtain and maintain Milwaukee Mitchell Badging requirements and taxi certification through Airport Operation to perform the required taxiing of the Rite Hite aircraft to and from maintenance facilities.
  • Following proper towing limitations while towing in/out aircraft.
  • Fueling the Rite Hite corporate aircraft, when required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure safe operating condition of corporate aircraft as well as maintain general appearance and cleanliness.
  • Complete maintenance, inspections, associated documentation and all other requirements in accordance with FAA standards and regulations.
  • Schedule maintenance flights through effective scheduling for the best efficient utilization and flight time of the Rite Hite corporate aircraft, while coordinating/maintaining communication with the Maintenance Manager providing cost updates on any unexpected delays and/or dates of completion.

  • Candidates must have working knowledge of basic computer and internet skills to access appropriate electronic reference resources (manuals and drawings).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Candidate must supply his or her own tools to perform job responsibilities however the company will provide "special" or "unique" tools not considered "ordinary".

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required and three to five years aircraft maintenance and inspection experience with corporate/private aircrafts
  • Candidate is required to hold a basic Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Complete ongoing education regarding aircraft inspection, maintenance and general upkeep to ensure utilization of the current Federal requirements.
