Job description

Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex CornerStone Professional Placement is working with a growing organization seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial operations across multiple entities. This role offers strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to own key pieces of the accounting cycle in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities, takes ownership of their work, and has experience in job cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting activities across several related entities Manage payables and receivables processes with accuracy and timeliness Track and maintain project/job-related costs Prepare and post journal entries, including prepaid expense allocations Reconcile accounts and maintain integrity of the general ledger Assist in closing processes and produce monthly financial reports Support funding requests tied to ongoing projects Partner closely with the Controller on reporting and process improvements What We're Looking For: 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity setting Proven experience with job costing (required) Familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage 300 is a plus Comfortable working with Excel and general accounting systems Self-starter who can prioritize and execute without constant direction Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Industry experience in construction, development, or similar is a plus Compensation & Benefits: Employment Type: Direct Hire Schedule: Monday - Friday Location: On-site Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, and Vision (employer-paid) Life insurance Retirement plan with company match Paid time off and holidays * Additional voluntary benefit options If you're looking for a role where you can contribute immediately and have direct impact on the financial operations of a business, this is worth a conversation.
