• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique goals, preferences, and needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote proactive mental health management.
• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure continued engagement in therapy.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated approach to mental health treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring that client information is managed with the utmost professionalism.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge in the field.
• Engage in client advocacy efforts, addressing mental health stigmatization and ensuring that client needs are met holistically and compassionately.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Corner Street Behavioral Health, you will primarily work with individuals facing mood disorders, including those experiencing significant challenges related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational issues. Your empathetic approach and clinical skills will enable you to support various vulnerable populations, from homeless individuals to victims of domestic violence and refugees, fostering resilience and facilitating therapeutic growth.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Ability to approach client experiences with empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to effectively manage caseloads and administrative responsibilities.

• Experience working with diverse client populations facing mood disorders and trauma.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT and DBT.
• Previous involvement in advocacy work or community outreach focused on mental health awareness and support.
