Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, notably Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate meaningful progress.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mood disorders and promoting effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines in all documentation and interactions.
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and strategies to enhance overall service delivery.
• Advocate for your client's needs, while promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will support diverse groups, including those facing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring that your therapeutic approach is sensitive, inclusive, and culturally competent. This role allows you to make a significant impact on the mental health of individuals navigating some of life's most challenging circumstances.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for establishing a trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to understanding clients' experiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, ensuring optimal service delivery alongside administrative tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
