About Trucent

Trucent is a global leader in fluid recovery and regeneration solutions, helping manufacturers and producers achieve operational excellence through sustainable processes. For over 25 years, Trucent has delivered leading-edge solutions across Fluid Separation for Metalworking and Manufacturing, Industrial Fluid Control, Plant Process Optimization, Corn Oil Extraction, and Oil Flow Optimization.

Trucent operates through three distinct business divisions, each led by a dedicated Vice President:

  • Trucent Centrifuge Parts & Repair (CPR) — a focused expert in disc stack centrifuge repair, rebuild, and parts supply for food, dairy, and beverage plant operators.
  • Trucent Renewable Chemicals — delivering sustainable chemical solutions including corn oil extraction and oil flow optimization.

Across all three divisions, Trucent employs approximately 155 people who share a commitment to being visionaries in fluid separation technology and delivering the customer excellence and dependability that has defined the company for over two decades.

Accounting & Finance, HR, IT & Marketing Leaders

Location

Dexter, Michigan

The Opportunity

The CBO is an integral member of Trucent’s senior leadership team — a strategic, MBA-caliber executive who partners directly with the CEO to drive enterprise value creation, long-term growth, and capital efficiency across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings deep financial and operational leadership experience, understands how strategy translates to execution, and can own corporate financial strategy, capital management, leasing, ERP systems, shared services, and M&A. This leader will directly oversee and further develop all of Trucent Inc.'s corporate disciplines — Human Resources, IT, Accounting & Finance, and Marketing — working through and elevating strong existing functional leaders across each area equally (for example, a Corporate Controller who leads Accounting & Finance). The CBO will serve as a strong conduit between these functional teams and the Business Unit VPs, and as a trusted partner to the CEO on acquisitions, divestitures, and the strategic decisions that drive Trucent's long-term value creation and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner directly with the CEO on enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and the decisions that drive long-term value creation and growth across Trucent.
  • Lead Trucent Inc.’s corporate (INC) organization across Human Resources, IT, Accounting & Finance, and Marketing — a multi-disciplinary team of 10-15 built around strong existing functional leaders in each area.
  • Human Resources: partner with and further develop the HR leader to advance benefits strategy, human asset development (talent, performance management, and succession planning), organizational culture, and regulatory/compliance programs.
  • IT: partner with and further develop the IT leader to advance systems architecture, hardware and infrastructure strategy, cybersecurity, and AI utilization across the business.
  • Accounting & Finance: partner with and further develop the Corporate Controller and finance team to advance financial systems, controls, reporting cadence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Marketing: partner with and further develop the Marketing leader to advance outreach and demand generation, B2B customer/prospect interfaces and the customer portal, corporate-wide CRM systems, brand strategy and collateral, market intelligence, competitive positioning, and conference/event presence.
  • Serve as a strong conduit between each INC functional team and the Business Unit VPs, ensuring HR, IT, finance, and marketing support stay tightly aligned with operational and business needs.
  • Lead acquisition and divestiture strategy — from sourcing and diligence through integration — as a key driver of Trucent’s growth and enterprise value creation.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Define corporate financial strategy; manage financial capital and communicate capital requirements and implications of business decisions to the CEO and senior management.
  • Partner with the CEO and ownership on capital allocation, M&A strategy, and other decisions that shape Trucent's long-term enterprise value.
  • Conduct meaningful, proactive analysis to improve key business decisions — focusing on management of working capital, financial vehicles, and strategic priorities.
  • Refine and development of ERP systems and operational efficiency in our business systems such as inventory management, billing, treasury, field service.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive leasing strategy — evaluating lease vs. own decisions for equipment, facilities, and fleet; optimizing lease structures to support operational flexibility and balance sheet efficiency.
  • Grow equity value — increase gross profit, reduce debt, ensure efficient capital expenditures, and minimize taxes.
  • Provide useful financial insights to help formulate and execute business strategy.
  • Maintain market awareness of industry trends, opportunities, and shifts.
  • Establish internal control processes required to manage and grow the business.
  • Effectively lead the finance and accounting team — developing and coaching existing talent (such as the Corporate Controller) and hiring when needed.
  • Develop and implement a financial risk management policy.
  • Manage financial relationships with banking partners.

What We’re Looking For
  • 20+ years of progressive financial and executive leadership, with a track record of driving growth and managing complex organizations.
  • MBA or equivalent strategic finance/general management experience, with the executive presence to operate as a true strategic partner to the CEO and ownership.
  • M&A experience — sourcing, diligence, negotiation, and integration — as a proven driver of growth and enterprise value creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operations leaders and translate operational realities into sound financial decisions.
  • Experience developing and managing leasing strategy — equipment, facilities, or fleet — in an industrial or manufacturing context.
  • Proven ability to tie company strategy and growth to operational execution and product/service innovation.
  • Strong financial analysis background, with the ability to translate data and modeling into clear, actionable business insight for the CEO, Division VPs, and leadership team.
  • Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary corporate functions — HR, IT, Marketing, and Accounting & Finance — through strong functional leaders, with a track record of elevating both people and process across each discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering required.
  • 25–50% travel availability across the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Skills & Expertise
  • Excellent critical thinking, strategic orientation, execution, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal, analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop, lay out, and follow through on detailed business plans and programs.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; integrative team working style with ability to foster team spirit.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including leasing and capital structuring knowledge.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting systems and applications.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
