Job Summary:

TriStar Southern Hills is seeking a family medicine physicians for GME Faculty and Core Faculty positions within our community-based outpatient residency program in Nashville, TN.
Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified by the ABMS in family medicine
  • Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain
  • Interest and ability to provide broad scope patient care 
  • Procedurally oriented for outpatient clinic setting
  • Demonstrate interest in the education of residents
  • Commitment to leadership in resident education and program administration
  • Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to lifelong learning
GME Core Faculty and Faculty Responsibilities:
  • Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program
  • Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents
  • Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evaluation tools
  • Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety
  • Support the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) in the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with institutional and program requirements
  • Assist with the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools
  • Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees
  • Prepare and deliver structured educational activities as requested by the APD or PD
  • Participate in scholarship, preferably in collaboration with residents
  • Actively participate in faculty development initiatives
