Job description

Partner Solutions Engineer
Department: Strategic Partnerships
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Atlanta
Description
About Us
YouLend is the preferred global embedded financing platform for many of the world's leading e-commerce sites, tech companies and payment services providers such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Mollie, Dojo, Paysafe, Just Eat Takeaway and Takepayments. Our software platform and APIs enable our partners to offer flexible financing products, in their desired branding, to their merchant base. With YouLend's AI-driven credit risk assessment solutions, more merchants and SMEs than ever can receive fast, flexible and affordable funding. We operate in 9+ geographies across the UK, EU and the US.
We believe that the future of financial services will be delivered by customer-oriented tech companies that embed financing in their customer journeys, and we are building the solutions that will power that future.
The Role
To meet the growing demand for our technology and services, we are currently hiring a Partner Solutions Engineer in Atlanta to expand our implementation capacity and provide US-time zone coverage for partners across North America
This is a partner-facing technical role foc used first and foremost on owning partner integrations end-to-end. You will work with a wide range of partners, from payments providers and ecommerce platforms to SaaS businesses, banks, and marketplace s, helping them launch and scale embedded funding solutions with YouLend.
At its core, this is a Partner Solutions Engineer role. You will lead technical discovery, run workshops, shape integration approaches, guide trade-offs from MVP to scale, supp ort technical presales, and act as a key escalation point during delivery. Most importantly, you will give partners a credible, responsive technical counterpart in US hours.
In addition to core solutions engineering responsibilities, this role will also provide a light layer of implementation coordination and delivery hygiene in the US time zone. That includes keeping status, tickets, risks, and readiness tracking up to date, and helping coordinate cutover and hypercar e communications so the wider UK/EU tea m does not need to routinely cover partner activity late into the evening.
This role sits within YouLend's implementation function, which owns:
  • Technical and product presales
  • New partner implementations and expansions
  • Support for existing partners

You'll work closely with Commercial, Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and the broader implementation team. This role is to be a named technical owner for US based partner work, with leadership support on strategic decisions and escalations where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Own partner integrations end-to-end f or US-based and North American partners, particularly API-based implementations, from discovery and solution design through launch and early post-go-live support.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for partners, running workshops to understand partner architecture, workflows, data availability, authentication mode ls, and commercial or operational constraints.
  • Recommend fit-for-purpose integration models across referral, hybrid, embedded component, and fully embedded approaches.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate partner requirements into workable solutions, unblock deliver y issues, and troubleshoot integration problems using logs, API payloads, err or responses, and partner-provided evidence.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex partner issues where commercial, operational, and technical context all matter.
  • Provide implementation discipline in U S hours by keeping tickets, status updates, risks, dependencies, and actions current, and by coordinating readiness checks, launch planning, cutover communications, and hyper care support.
  • Help standardize repeatable implementation patterns, improve documentation and tooling, reduce time-to-launch, and feed partner insights back into YouL end's modular integration offering.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
  • Experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sal es Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar partner/customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong API and integration fundamentals, including HTTP, REST, JSON, authentication, and webhooks, with practica l experience using tools such as Postman, Datadog or other logs/monitoring tools, and basic SQL for troubleshooting and investigation.
  • Possess a strong technical understanding and have experience working with software engineers
  • A track record of owning technical partner or customer deliveries through to g o-live, including running technical discovery sessions and workshops with external stakeholders.
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment in shaping solution de sign and trade-offs, especially where there is a balance between MVP deliver y and future scale.
  • Confidence managing ambiguity and moving work forward across multiple internal and external teams.
  • Excellent written communication, including producing clear implementation updates, action tracking, risk summaries, and solution documentation.
  • Good delivery discipline: you keep actions moving, maintain implementation hygiene, and flag risks or delays early alongside practical options.
  • A collaborative style and comfort working cross-functionally with Commercia l, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Risk teams.
  • A bias to action and a practical, partner/client-oriented mindset.

Desirable:
  • Have worked in fintech, payments, lending, or banking.
  • Have experience supporting platform or distribution-led go-to-market models rather than direct-to-customer sales.
  • Are comfortable working with a modular product where partners may launch quickly via an off the shelf solution and deepen integration over time.
  • Have supported embedded product journeys, authentication flows such as S AML 2.0 or OIDC, or complex partner-specific integration models.
  • Can combine strong technical depth with calm, credible partner-facing communication, and enjoy bringing structure and momentum to partner implementations rather than only providing technic al advice.
  • Care about improving internal processes, standardizing patterns, and making future launches faster and easier.
  • Are energized by giving a commercial team confidence in presales while also making delivery smoother after signature and want to play a foundational role in strengthening YouLend's US implementation presence and partner responsiveness.

Benefits
We offer comprehensive benefits package that includes:
  • Health Care Coverage. Youlend covers 80%; employee contribution is 20% of the premium.
