About the Role

At Communications Northwest, we provide the systems that keep businesses, public safety teams, and organizations connected. Weโ€™re looking for an RF Technician (Level I or II) who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and being part of a team that delivers reliable communication solutions.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair radios, equipment, and accessories
  • Program radios and perform software updates
  • Use service monitors and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues
  • Complete warranty and depot repairs
  • Maintain accurate documentation for work performed
  • Perform site visits and preventative maintenance (some travel required)


Leveling Overview

RF Technician I

  • Performs standard troubleshooting and repairs
  • Works under guidance while developing technical skills
  • Focus on core radio systems and foundational knowledge

RF Technician II

  • Handles more complex troubleshooting and repairs independently
  • Supports additional systems (dispatch consoles, audio systems, etc.)
  • Communicates progress and technical issues with leadership
  • Contributes to system upgrades and improvements



What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of related experience or technical training preferred
  • Experience with RF systems or similar electronics is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and documentation
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Team player with a solid work ethic
