Job description

Need more design resources for CORE West, Northern Area CORE is looking for a 3D design professional to join our Virtual Construction team in our Roseville, California office (Sacramento area). The Virtual Construction Designer will be responsible for supporting design-assist services through the creation of 3D models, visualizations, renderings, animations, and graphical content used throughout the preconstruction and project pursuit process. This role focuses heavily on visual communication, presentation development, and creative design solutions that help communicate project logistics, construction approaches, and conceptual ideas to clients and project teams. The Virtual Construction Designer collaborates closely with Preconstruction, Virtual Construction, and Operations teams to develop high-quality visual content and immersive experiences that support project pursuits, planning, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visualization & Graphic Content Development: Create compelling visual content, renderings, animations, and presentation materials that communicate construction concepts, logistics, sequencing, and branding for project pursuits and marketing
  • Virtual Design & Modeling Support: Develop and manage 3D models, VR/AR experiences, and 3D printing solutions to support preconstruction planning, visualization, coordination, client presentations, and project communication
  • Department & Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative, high quality visualization standards, workflows, and presentation solutions that support project pursuits and continuous improvement

Pay will be commensurate with skills and experience.

This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of experience in graphic design, virtual construction, architecture or a related field
  • Professional Degree in architecture, construction management or a related field (construction tech, interior design, visual art etc.) is preferred
  • Technology: Proficiency with AutoDesk Revit, Lumion, Sketch-up, Adobe Aftereffects, and Adobe Photoshop. Enscape, Twinmotion, Unreal Engine or Similar platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Microsoft Office and Procore is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of architectural and construction drawings.
  • Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service.
  • Ability to interact as part of a multi-talented team and to learn new technology.
  • A valid Driver's License

  • This is an in-person position at our office in Roseville, California (NOT remote nor hybrid)
