Overview

Razorfish is looking for a Jr. Copywriter with both conceptual and hands-on chops who can turn an insight into a compelling headline, a concept into a campaign, and a brief into something people can't scroll past.

In this role, you'll partner with a Jr. Art Director and a team of creatives to make magic happen... across digital, social, CRM, email, print, video, and whatever comes next. You'll concept, develop and execute timely multichannel content and messaging that elevates our client brands, resonates with our audiences, and drives engagement.

The ideal candidate has some prior professional experience or has completed internships within an advertising agency is capable and comfortable of working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically-distributed teams. They should also be excited about pitching ideas and working directly with clients.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role based out of our Miami office and will require onsite engagement an average of 3 days/week. All candidates should be local to the Miami metro area and willing to commit to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a Jr. Art Director as well as other designers, copywriters, and brand strategists to develop, adapt, present, guide, and execute creative concepts that are aligned to the brand's vision and goals.
  • Craft headlines, taglines, scripts, and copy that stop people in their tracks.
  • Concept and execute breakthrough multichannel campaigns for clients across a variety of industries.
  • Switch voices like a pro for different brands, audiences, and platforms.
  • Bring big, bold ideas to brainstorms and push them into unexpected directions.
  • Keep it on-brand, on-brief, and on-time (because chaos is only fun when concepting).
  • Stay on top of cultural trends, consumer behaviors, and what competitors are up to.
  • Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all projects and deliverables, ensuring cohesive, consistent, and recognizable brand message, tone, and voice as well as alignment to brand initiatives, cultural moments and platform trends.
Qualifications
  • There is no specific educational requirement for this role.
  • 6+ months of prior professional copywriting experience including both executional and conceptual work, preferably in an advertising agency environment; internship experience may be substituted.
  • An ability to write with clarity, wit and persuasion across multiple channels.
  • Comfort and experience writing for both a variety of audiences.
  • An understanding of how brands tick and how to make people care about them.
  • Excellent conceptual creative storytelling skills.
  • Highly collaborative but independently capable.
  • Confident, self-directed, and independent with outstanding organizational and time management skills as well as a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically-distributed teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, continuously-evolving environment.
  • Very strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent listener with an ability to take direction and guidance, receive constructive criticism, and continuously improve personal process.
  • A portfolio showcasing conceptual and executional copywriting work is required and should be submitted at time of application.

Compensation Range: $53,200-$61,600 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
